There are many people who are suffering from back pain just like you. Also, just like you, they are always looking for that wonder cure or that miracle exercise to get rid of all the pain. Exercise is one of the best for strengthening your back and may also relieve pain.
Pools Exercises:
Pool exercises are a great idea for helping with back pain. Swimming is one of the best exercises there is for back pain. You use so many muscles and the water can be so calming and relaxing, and at the same time, you are exercising. Swimming is low impact, which makes it easer on joints and muscles. Yoga:
Yoga is also a great exercise for back pain because you do different poses that stretch and lengthen muscles. You are shown how to properly breathe while doing these exercises to get the full affect from them. You are taught to do the pose so that it is comfortable for you. You may be doing the same pose as the person next to you, but you both may look a little different. With the different poses and breathing, you will start to feel everything open up and you will feel muscles in your back, neck and shoulders start to relax.
Walking:
Walking is another great simple exercise. Whether you are walking on a treadmill or just outside for a walk, it really does not matter. Walking is good on your joints and muscles. Walking actually lubricates. This is very important so that you don’t have cartridge or joints rubbing.
Elliptical Machine:
The elliptical machine is another great exercise that is low impact. This machine gives you a little more resistance than walking and you can feel that you are getting a great work out right away. Using both the upper and lower body, you are also strengthening your core muscles. Having a strong core will help keep your back healthy.

Pilate exercises are similar to yoga, but concentrates more on floor stretches. Pilates builds up the core abdominal muscles. Pilates also involves stretching and strengthening exercises to build up your muscles.
Bicycling or Stationary Bike:
Bicycling of any kind, whether it is indoors or out, can also is very therapeutic for the back. Bicycling is also another low impact exercise. Since riding a bike should not put direct strain on your back, this is a good exercise to keep you moving and maybe even get you out of the house.
Stretching:
Stretching is very important. Stretching is usually done before and after most exercises. Stretching is used to warm up muscles and then to cool them down. It is very important that you stretch so that you do not pull any muscles while exercising. There are many different stretches that can be done. There is also a ball that can be used for stretching and exercising. The ball can also be used to build up your core muscles. Just lying on the ball and rolling back and forth can help stretch out your back muscles. Try lying both face up and face down while rolling a little back and forth. This will help you stretch those muscles and feel more relaxed. The more relaxed you are, the less pain you may feel.
Pain medications will temporarily relieve your back pain, but lying or sitting around will not do any good with someone who has chronic back problems. Anyone who has chronic back pain needs to have it checked out. Your body is trying to tell you something. Exercise is very important even for your aching back. It will help strengthen and make your back much more flexible so it can avoid injuries in the future.
