Heated mattress pad produces heat, which often relaxes the body muscles and gives a soothing feeling. It provides comforts to the pain areas, especially if it is do with lower back pain. These mattress pads are probably the most revolutionary and easily accessible method of relieving pain and muscle spasm of lower back. Heated mattress pads are very helpful in getting quick relief from back pain which is one of the most common phenomenon in America today.


Relaxing With Mattress Pads Producing Heat These types of mattress pads provide pain relief from lower back, arthritis and other muscle or joint problems. It is much better than having an electric blanket covering you. Scientifically speaking, heat always moves upwards, so it is better to have heat rise up from the lower part of your body to spread to other areas, rather than have it blown away in the air. This way your bed would heat in an efficient manner and attain that requisite warmth which helps in relieving back pain.


There are various kinds of heat producing mattress pads available in the market today. They come in various sizes and colors. One of the most popular is the Pillow Top Heated Mattress pad. The normal therapeutic temperature is 400 C or 1040 F. At this temperature, blood flow increases and helps in reducing stiffness, relaxing sore muscles and provides a soothing comfort. Heat is normally preferred over cold for chronic lower back pain and arthritis. You need to apply heat for at least 20 minutes to get complete relief from back pain. And then, you would be as good as before!
